As the daughter of two day-laborers, Rima understood the value of all she came across, and sought after her education with determination and high aspirations. In between her studies, Rima would care for both her siblings and sick parents, going days without food and even picking up cow dung to raise money for her family and her own education. As the years went on, and her family's health and financial struggles continued to worsen, Rima began to lose hope, seeing no open path towards continuing her education. Moved by her story, Kandari reached out to provide Rima the financial support she needed, and after raising over 150,000 taka, Kandari saw Rima become the first of her family to receive higher education and pursue her passions as a medical professional in 2020.
